Sweet and intriguing melodies bring new life to quotes from the Bible and poems of modern day Hebrew, thus expanding the traditional borders of Indian classical music, and bringing its beauty and magnificence to new ears and audiences.

Tavor began his journey with the sitar and Indian classical music in 2005, when he met his teacher, Dr. Govinda Goswami, in Varanasi, India. Since then, his path has been one of study and refinement, discovery and joy, creativity and personal expression. Above all, it is a path of heartfelt offering - using the delicate sounds of the sitar to share moments of joy and aliveness, to touch people deeply, and to offer comfort, healing, and lightness.

Tavor is one of Israel’s leading sitar players and works extensively to bring the sound of the sitar and Indian classical music to wider and more diverse audiences. He has performed throughout the USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, and was recently invited to perform at the prestigious Tansen Samaroh Festival in Gwalior, India, which celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Tavor holds a Master’s degree in Music Therapy and is deeply engaged in the intersections of music, healing, and spirituality.

תבור החל את דרכו בנגינה בסיטאר ובעולם המוזיקה ההודית הקלאסית בשנת 2005, כשפגש את מורהו ד״ר גובינדא גוסוואמי בוורנאסי, הודו. מאז ועד היום דרכו משלבת למידה והעמקה, גילוי והנאה, יצירתיות וביטוי אישי. מעל הכל זוהי דרך של שיתוף הלב - לחלוק באמצעות צלילי הסיטאר העדינים את שמחת הלב והחיים, לגעת בלבבות, ולהציע נחמה, ריפוי ושמחה.

תבור הוא ממובילי נגני הסיטאר בארץ ופועל רבות להבאת צלילי הסיטאר והמוסיקה ההודית לקהלים רחבים ומגוונים. הוא הופיע בארה״ב, אירופה, אוסטרליה וניו זילנד, ולאחרונה נבחר להופיע בפסטיבל היוקרתי Tansen Samaroh בגוואליור, הודו - שחגג מאה שנים להיווסדו.

לתבור תואר שני בטיפול במוסיקה, והוא עוסק באופן נרחב בתחומי ההשקה של מוסיקה, ריפוי ורוחניות.
